    The outstanding 2009 De Nit (rose) has an almost hypnotic, perfect pale hue that is worth the price alone! A blend of classic Cava varieties with 5% Monastrell, it is sourced from 30- to 40-year-old vines from the estate. The nose is very subtle and very pretty with traces of rosewater, fish scale and Morello cherries, all beautifully defined and drawing you in. The palate is crisp and tense on the entry: a minimalist rose cave that is based on freshness and poise rather than delivering fruit intensity. It is a delicate, very pretty, harmonious Cava rose that is sensual and alluring. Who needs Champagne when Cava can be as good as this? Drink now-2015+ ”

    “The 2009 Reserva Brut is a blend of classic Cava varieties (40% Macabeu, 40% Xarello and 20% Parellada) from 20- to 40-year-old vines in the 90-hectare Serral Vineyard on the Raventos I Blanc Estate. It has a vibrant bouquet of peach and lemon peel complemented by a subtle, crushed stone aroma. The palate is crisp and defined on the entry, with fine poise and build in the mouth. It leads harmoniously towards a succinct rosewater and white peach finish that is fresh and tense. Drink now-2017”

Bright and lively on the palate, with very good clarity to its strawberry and blood orange flavors. Shows good power and focus on the finish, which lingers with impressive tenacity. This impressively lithe Cava shows rare elegance for the category and it is also an amazing value for its quality.”

    IWC:90 – “Light gold. High-pitched and precise on the nose and in the mouth, offering lively citrus zest, pear, floral and herbal qualities. Dry and silky in texture, showing very good depth and energy. Closes clean and nervy, with noteworthy cut and floral-driven persistence.”

    IWC:90 – Light gold. Musky pear skin and pit fruits on the nose and in the mouth, with subtle herb and spice notes adding complexity. Juicy and dry but broad, with solid back-end grip and very good spicy persistence. This Cava has the heft and depth to handle rich foods.

    IWC:91 – (made from 80% xarel-lo that was planted in 1954 and 20% parellada planted in 1973, both in single vineyards): Bright gold. Deep, musky aromas of dried pit fruits, honey, chamomile and herbs, with a subtle spicy nuance that gains strength with air. Juicy and broad on entry, then dry and penetrating in the mid-palate, with very good clarity to its orchard and pit fruit flavors. A touch of lemon pith adds refreshing cut and bitterness to the long, chewy finish. Offers an impressive blend of depth and energy.
